The Metrobank Foundation is now accepting nominations for the 2009 Search for Outstanding Teachers!
The Qualifications
       1. Filipino teachers in elementary, high school or higher education levels
       2. Full time with full load (those with administrative duties, 50% of full load)
       3. 10 years teaching experience
       4. Average performance rating in the last 5 years “Very Satisfactory” with no rating below “Satisfactory”
       5. At least BS degree for elementary and high school, MA for higher education level
The Criteria
       1. Personal qualities and character
       2. Instructional competence and teaching effectiveness
       3. Professional and community involvement
The Prize:
ü         National Winners- P300,000 each, trophy, gold medal
ü         National Finalists- P20,000each
ü         Regional Finalists- P10,000each
Good News:
ü         10 Nominatorsof eligible nominees have a chance to win  P10,000each thru a raffle
ü         Past Semi-Finalists and Finalists of the Search who meet the basic eligibility requirements, are deemed automatic provincial finalists
ü         Winners of other searches conducted by reputable organizations for outstanding teachers at the national/international levels are deemed automatic provincial finalists
ü         Elementary schools are now allowed to nominate two nominees, one each from the primary (Kinder – Grade 3) and intermediate (Grades 4 – 7) grade levels
Important Dates
February 13, 2009 (Friday) Deadline for submission of nomination forms to any Metrobank branch
February 14, 2009 (Saturday) Deadline for submission of nomination forms to Metrobank Foundation office through courier
