May 10 election is coming closer. The distribution of the 50 million ballots will begin on April 25 which gives them 2 weeks to distribute all the ballots nationwide. 800,000 ballots a day is being printed.

Comelec Commissioner Gregorio Larrazabal said that as of Thursday, at least 45 million ballots have been printed by the National Printing Office (NPO).

The printed ballots will be sent directly to municipal and city treasurers’ offices instead of the provincial offices, Larrazabal said.

The election returns, certificates of canvass and the statement of votes per precinct are being printed by NPO-accredited printing press. These are to be used incase of failure of automation, manual counting will  de done.

If they are not used–which the Comelec is hoping for–the materials can still be used for the barangay elections. which will remain manual, Larrazabal said.

The VIS or the Voters Information Sheets is  being printed which contain a sample ballot and the precinct of the voter.

Hi there fellow blogger! I made a poll and it is about your bet this coming 2010 election. The survey is very simple, choose your president and vice-president. As you can see, I just want two results, a president and a vice-president, these two are the most important because they are the persons who will finalize everything, from bills, laws, government projects, cabinet officials and other government-related issues. With this I can gather information and make a tally of your votes. Please visit the link to vote. Bloggers’ Choice This Coming 2010 Election
