“Kambal sa Uma” is an upcoming television series  in ABS-CBN Channel 2. This series is an adaptation of the hit movie of Rio Locsin in 1979.The said movie was produced by SQ Film Productions which waws directed by Joey Gosiengfiao. The major roles will be done by Shaina Magdayao and Melissa Ricks and is surely a challenge to them.

It takes two hours to put it on and one hour to take it off," Ricks said.

She added: "’Yong acting very drama talaga.

Melissa Ricks will portray the character of Ella, a good half-human, half-rat. She will grow up in a forest with her mother (Rio Locsin). Shaina Magdayao, will play the role of Vira, twin of Ella, who is also half-human, half rat. Vira  (Shaina) will be separated from her biological mother and Ella. She will then be adopted by a couple played by Lotlot de Leon and Allan Paule.

Shaina and Melissa said that it was an honor for them to play the lead roles in the said series

“Kambal sa Uma” is set to be a daily afternoon series. Other stars include Bing Davao, Nonie Buencamino, Valerie “Bangs” Garcia, Jordan Herrera, Matt Evans and Jason Abalos.
