MANILA, Philippines—Since the alleged redundant P200-million allocation for the C-5 Road Extension Project Senator Panfilo Lacson claims to have uncovered would no longer be released, the issue should now focus on the question of ethics and propriety, Lacson told the Philippine Daily Inquirer Wednesday.
“Since the second P200 million was discovered on time and (Budget) Secretary (Rolando) Andaya had acknowledged the same as a redundant appropriation in the 2008 General Appropriations Act and therefore will no longer release the said amount, it is as good as a crime prevented from being committed,” Lacson said
