The Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police will be stepping in and providing security for Commission on Elections personnel detailed in the identified hot spots during the Oct. 29 barangay/SK elections.
COMELEC spokesman Josephus Jimenez said that their primary concern will still be security and the PNP has assured them that the situation will be largely peaceful during the polls.
