Another successful filipina business woman in Luxembourg found success in her restaurant business. Elena Lana is the one and her restaurant was named Mabuhay Garden Cafe, which is a favorite hang out of filipinos and other foreign nationalities.
“Mga Pilipino minsan lang pag may mga occasions, birthday parties minsan lang silang pumupunta pero mas marami akong mga foreigners na customers,” Lana told Ver Cuison of ABS-CBN Europe News Bureau.
Four filipinos are working in Lana’s restaurant, Mabuhay Cafe.

Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2010 Venus Raj has been dethroned by the Bb. Pilipinas Committee due to inconsistency of documents of Venus Raj due to this issue, Venus Raj will be replaced by Helen Nicolette Henson , to represent the country on the pageant show.
I just don’t know why did Bb. Pilipinas screening committee did not do their job properly in order to prevent an incident like this. Anyway all the best for Helen Nicolette Henson .

Friends, relatives and colleagues bid a tearful farewell to former Budget Secretary Emilia Boncodin as she was laid to rest in Taguig City on Sunday morning.
Radio dzBB’s Lito Laparan reported that many had gone to the Heritage Park to get a last glimpse of the late Cabinet member before she was buried.
“You will always be remembered, forever missed, forever loved,” read a message from her friends, relatives and colleagues at the burial.

M,asters in billiards Efren “Bata” Reyes and Franciscon “Django” Bustamante made it to the semifinal round of the 2009 PartyCasino.net World Cup of Pool by Team England at the SM Edsa on Saturday. Reyes and Bustamante of Team B won over England’s Imran Majid and World 10-Ball Champion Darren Appleton with the score of 9 to 1 in their quarterfinals matchup.

The new pride of the Philippines, 19 year-old Marvin Sonsona won over Jose Lopez of Puerto Rico, this Friday (Saturday in Manila). He won the World Boxing Organization (WBO) super flyweight title at the Casino Rama in Ontario, Canada. The scores were 116-109, 115-110, 114-111, all in favor of Sonsona.
“Lopez was such a tough fighter, and winning a decision against him shows that I’m a real fighter, and a worthy champion,” the hard-punching Sonsona said shortly after winning the fight.

The Philippine team won a total of 74 medals in the recently held ASEAN Para Games which was held in Malaysia from August 15-19. This ASEAN Para Games is known as the parallel sports event for the disabled. This event is being held after every SEA games or Southeast Asian Games.
The Philippine team had a total of 24 gold, 24 silver medals and 26 bronze. The medals were won the the chess, swimming, athletics and other events.
