Lente or Legal Network for Truthful Elections composed of volunteer lawyers reported that therewere two incidents of vote buying in Isabela.
Barangay kagawads who are supporters of Isabela Governor Bodgie Dy were seen to be distributing Php 500 at the house of the Barangay captain in Barangay Buculud in Ilagan.
Another Lente volunteer reported that people in the town of Luna were brought to a warehouse of Mayor Manuel Tio. Three members of the Sangguniang Bayan were seen giving away envelopes containing Php3000.
Appropriate charges will be filed against those municipal official

May 10 election is coming closer. The distribution of the 50 million ballots will begin on April 25 which gives them 2 weeks to distribute all the ballots nationwide. 800,000 ballots a day is being printed.
Comelec Commissioner Gregorio Larrazabal said that as of Thursday, at least 45 million ballots have been printed by the National Printing Office (NPO).
The printed ballots will be sent directly to municipal and city treasurers’ offices instead of the provincial offices, Larrazabal said.

The OAV or the Overseas Absentee Voting started in Riyadh last April 10, just like in other countries. The voting will lasts for a month.

Ten out of 3,000 teachers who will serve as Board of Election Inspectors (BEI) in the upcoming May 10 elections did not pass a government exam that would certify them as IT-capable, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said on Monday.
“Ten teachers out of 3,000 ang bagsak (failed),” Comelec Commissioner Gregorio Larrazabal told reporters in an interview. He, however, said that the figure is not alarming.
“Ask any statistician, 10 out of 3,000, is that a big percentage? No,” Larrazabal said.
