Before this happened, this boy announced in a chatroom that he has weapons and that he is going to kill people in his old school the next morning after the chat. The internet conversation happened 2:45 am on Wednesday which is 7 hours before the killing, according to Interior Minister Heribert Rech.

"You will hear about me tomorrow. Make note of the name of the place: Winnenden," 17-year-old Tim Kretschmer said.

The boy named Bernd who is also a 17-yr old boy was the one who had a chat with the Tim and so he showed the details of their chat to his father after the massacre. His father immediatedly contacted the police after seeing the chat.

"Shit, Bernd. I have had enough, I have had enough of this crummy life … Always the same. People are laughing at me, no one recognizes my potential," Rech cited the entry as saying. "I mean it seriously, Bernd."

Tim Kretschmer entered his old school in Winnenden at around 9:30 a.m. He was armed with a handgun taken from his father’s bedroom and more than 100 rounds of ammunition. He shot 8 girls, 1 boy, 3 female teachers and 3 bystanders. A few hours later Kretschmer was dead after a manhunt ended in a shootout in a shopping center car park .The gunman had recently stopped receiving psychiatric treatment, Rech said.

Our kids need our time and attention. Proper communication and relationship with them will help them get thru life’s ups and downs.

It has been suspected that the grenade attack in a certain karaoke bar in Jolo, has been the work of the Abu Sayyafs who were now holding the three Red Cross volunteers, Filipina Mary Jean Lacaba, Italian Eugenio Vagni and Swiss national Andreas Notter.

Men believed to be members of the Abu Sayyaf group tossed the grenade into a karaoke bar on Jolo island late Monday, police said.

It is believed that the blast came just hours after the Abu Sayyaf commander was reportedly wounded in a clash with troops. They did this to divert the attention of the milatary.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is concerned about the latest violence, and warned that it could place the hostages in danger.

The ICRC’s head of operations in Asia, Alain Aeschlimann, said that he was able to speak with the hostages by phone March 11. Their fate after the fighting Monday remained unknown.

The Abu Sayyaf has not made public demands for ransom, although local officials trying to secure their release have said they received demands for a million dollar ransom. The claim however could not be independently verified.

The Abu Sayyafs has kidnapped many foreigners, businessmen and religious workers over the past decade. They are on the US government’s list of foreign terrorist organizations. They are also blamed for the deaths of two American hostages seized from a Philippine resort in 2001, one of whom was beheaded.

Two people were killed in this grenade attack and 4 were wounded. People who were believed to be innocent ones.

The Commission on Elections postponed Monday voting in Pantar, Lanao del Norte after receiving reports of missing ballot boxes in the area.
COMELEC Chairman Benjamin Abalos said date of resumption of the elections in the province will be announced soon. He clarified that the elections were merely postponed and there was no failure of elections.
Abalos said Valencia City in Bukidnon province was placed under COMELEC control. He said Eastern Visayas officials have requested for augmentation forces in the region.

He added that there were no untoward incidents reported in Western and Central Visayas. An ABS-CBN report earlier said voting was delayed in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur due to late distribution of election paraphernalia.

A crowd of teachers was seen at the Marawi City Hall around 8 a.m. because of the confusion caused by the late distribution of election paraphernalia.

Polling precincts nationwide were supposed to open at 7 a.m.

Residents, however, downplayed the incident, adding that voting in Marawi City usually starts two hours late in past elections.

How many more killings and violence will happen prior to election? How does our government prevent this things to happen? I don’t know. Maybe somebody on our readers may testify on what they see on their surroundings.

Another Candidate has been slayed
The murder of a Quezon congressional candidate in Quezon City last Saturday has prompted the Philippine National Police (PNP) to intensify its efforts against private armies and illegal firearms

I just don’t know why people is risking their lives just to win a place in the government.? And is it only during this times wth known violence that our PNP is taking the efforts against private armies and illegal firearms? Just a question from a common Election observer.
