Thanks for your visit, We would also like to invite you in Tech At Hand

Noynoy Aquino had released his press statement regarding pardon of Claudio Teehankee Jr.

"The terms and conditions in granting executive clemency as stated in our Constitution cannot be disputed. However, given the way this power of granting executive clemency seems to have been abused, it may be high time for us to revisit its parameters to ensure that the purpose for which this Presidential prerogative is intended is achieved."

and Here are the comment I received from my post regarding Claudio Teehankee Jr Released And Pardon :

I absolutely do not agree to the release of claudio teehanke jr.
It’s just show that only those who can afford to talk to the people in malacañang have the right to clemency. There are many poor prisoners whose crime was nothing compared to teehanke’s and yet they are still in jail because their relatives have no contact in malacañang.

Executive Clemency is there because it is an admission that the judicial system is also liable to commit errors. Executive Clemency however should be exercised in the pursuit, or to further justice, to strengthen an otherwise weakly perceived system. The latest stupidity of the administration reeks with B.S. A murderer who killed two young persons in cold blood gets to be freed from prison? By what credibility then does the government have in asking the people to uphold the law when the chief executive spits at the law? The senators and congressman are again acting stupidly in addressing the situation post facto, or making headlines about Teehankee being rich, or having been given preferential treatment. That is evading the issue. The issue is that justice was slapped left and right, kicked in the butt and spat at. I cry for our country, and if only for this, I am asking each and every filipino able to afford an egg and rotten tomatoes to throw them all at the DOJ office and at the Palace gates.

I hope, I sincerely hope, that those responsible for freeing Teehankee would also bear the loss of a loved shot by a rich gunman. Yes I do hope so. They are in power now, but the tides of fate turns, it always does. If not them, then their children or their childrens children will experience it.
