We all know that Tim Tebow ussually features bible verses on his face and today’s verse is Ephesians 2:8-10. Ephesians 2:8-10 is the biblical passage in Tim Tebows face today.
Ephesians 2:8-10 reads as follows: For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. To those who want to be saved: Just as the Sugar Bowl (or any other sports or games) has its rules, God has also His own. And when it comes to man’s salvation, Ephesians 2:8-10 is His rule.
Salvation cannot be obtained through our own efforts. If a person thinks he is or can be saved because he is a member of a certain religious group, or because he has done something good for somebody, etc., he is definitely on the wrong track and is not following the rules. Salvation is God’s gift. A gift is truly a gift if it is free. Salvation is free not because it is cheap but because Someone has paid for it – the Lord Jesus Christ. Believe in Him and you will be saved, too (Acts 16:31). After you have trusted in Jesus Christ as your Savior, He will change your life and lead you to do the good works according to His plan and will.
