Famous tennis players raise funds for victims of Haiti Earthquake

Roger Federer, the world’s top-ranked tennis player, will take part in an exhibition event in Australia on Sunday together with the other top stars like Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal, Andy Roddick, Kim Clijsters and Samantha Stosur. They venue will be at Melbourne Park in the state of Victoria’s capital city.

Federer organized this charity event to raise funds for the Haiti earthquake victims.

"The entry fee is a minimum donation of $10. This should be fun and it’s for a great cause," the Swiss said on his official Web site.

"I think it’s something as a tennis family we’re very happy to do. I know it’s on the eve of the first Grand Slam of the season, so for some it’s not so easy maybe mentally to separate a few things — but I think it’s a great initiative.

Federer supports several charities which started in 2003.

Many other famous player contributed to the victims of Haiti Earthquake.

    some of my friends who work in haiti were also victimized by that terrible earthquake. i was very thankful that they only suffered minor scratches.
