According to the famous folk singer Freddie Aguilar, he is convincing  his younger sister Marlene Aguilar-Pollard to surrender her son Jason Ivler to the authorities. Jason is the prime suspect in the killing of Renato Victor Ebarle, Jr., son of Malacañang official Renato Victor Ebarle, Sr. over a traffic altercation in November last year.

“Sabi ko no’n kay Marlene na isuko na niya si Jason dahil mas madali ang gano’n kaysa naman sa nangyari sa pamangkin ko. Kaya lang, hindi niya ako sinunod. Ngayon, ganyan ang nangyari."

Aguilar was sad with what happened and the fact that his nephew fought back with the authorities.

“I feel very depressed and sad about what happened to Jason. But I think we should be objective about the whole thing,” he said in an interview at Ka Freddie’s Bar in Malate Tuesday evening.

According to Aguilar he can’t say an official statement about the case because he has no full knowledge of what happened. What Aguilar knew is that Jason is denying the accusations on him. Freddie has not yet talked to his younger sister Marlene after Jason’s capture.
