Lilia Pineda is contesting the of Pampanga governor-elect, Father Eddie Panlilio.

Losing gubernatorial candidate Lilia Pineda has started moves to contest the victory of Pampanga governor-elect, Father Eddie Panlilio.

Pineda’s petition said Mabalacat had seven “excess and spurious” election returns (ERs). The town has 399 polling precincts..

Based on the Mabalacat ERs, Lapid obtained the highest number of votes at 21,419. Panlilio received 16,476 votes and Pineda, 13,491.

Minus the Mabalacat votes, Pineda commanded a lead of 1,838 votes over Panlilio.

Panlilio took the lead when votes from Magalang, the last town to be tallied, came. There, Panlilio received 11,097 votes, giving him an edge of 1,147 votes against Pineda.

As Pineda questioned Panlilio’s victory, the spokesperson of her party, the Kabalikat ng Mamamayang Pilipino, extended a message of reconciliation to the new governor on Sunday

I do hope that the truth shall prevail over pampanga and not that money will prevail. Pampanguenos should start uniting in protecting their votes because every candidate will do it’s best just to suceed in this election.
