SANLAKAS is a multi-sectoral and party-list organization established to protect and advance the rights and welfare of the Filipino masses through their involvement in the mass movement.

SANLAKAS is open to exploring all possible avenues for conflict resolution. Moreover, we see great opportunities in diversified courses of action, apart from and together with, the traditional forms of protests.

About SANLAKAS

SANLAKAS is a nationwide multi-sectoral organization established to protect and advance the rights and welfare of the Filipino masses through their involvement in the mass movement.
As such, we strive to set up mechanisms that will enable the people’s aspirations and grievances to be heard and articulated.
Through pressure politics, SANLAKAS also prods the government to address the people’s fundamental concerns.
We also respond to fundamental and critical issues such as sovereignty, civil liberties, human rights and democracy– facets essential to our nation’s well-being and the people’s welfare.
SANLAKAS is open to exploring all possible avenues for conflict resolution. Moreover, we see great opportunities in diversified courses of action, apart from and together with, the traditional forms of protests.
As always, SANLAKAS seeks to find common ground with other leaders, organizations, recognized individuals, barangays and municipalities not only so that solutions to critical issues are found but that together may evolve a tapestry of mutually beneficial and equitable actions.

Mission
SANLAKAS, which literally means one strength or combined power, is a multi-sectoral people’s organization working towards the enlightenment, development and empowerment of the people to defend their rights and welfare and to pursue a better system of governance that is truly responsive to the needs of the marginalized section of society through all forms of struggle.
Vision
A just, democratic and humane society which will ensure the development of life of the Filipino people in all its fullness.
Goal
On Enlightenment
- Educating members and the rest of the people of SANLAKAS vision and mission.
On Empowerment
- Equipping members and the rest of the people with knowledge, skills, attitudes, means and resources for political, economic and cultural empowerment.
On Pursuing Governance
- Assertion and attainment of reforms within the existing system of government while working for a just, democratic and humane paradigm of governance.
On Promotion and Defense of People’s Rights and Welfare
- Involving and participating on issues and struggle affecting the lives of the Filipino people.
On Various Forms of Struggle
- Explanation of and engagement in creative, high impact and mass
mobilizing forms of struggle.
On SANLAKAS as a Major Political Force
- Expansion and consolidation of SANLAKAS towards gaining national and international recognition as a strong pro-people and progressive multi-sectoral organization.
