After the Supreme Court failed to stop the proclamation of administration candidate Juan Miguel Zubiri, supporters of his rival Aquilino Pimentel III are planning a protest action.

But QTV-11 television reported that Pimentel’s supporters plan not to protest his defeat, but to express their dismay over the election process.

It said no details of the protest action were immediately available, but Pimentel planned to meet with his supporters to discuss the matter.

Pimentel was dismayed over the high court’s decision that paved the way for the proclamation of Zubiri, who was proclaimed at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) Saturday morning.

For his part, Zubiri said he was willing to put the rivalry behind him and to get to work in the Senate under the 14th Congress. - GMANews.TV
