Former senator and movie actor Ramon Revilla Sr. was responding to treatment after undergoing an angioplasty at the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City on Tuesday, one of his sons said.

Mayor Edwin Mortel Bautista (a.k.a. Strike Revilla) of Bacoor, Cavite said his 81-year-old father was placed under observation at the hospital’s intensive care unit after the angioplasty procedure.

Bautista said his father suffered a stroke due to a blood clot. He asked the public to pray for his father’s recovery.
