Thanks for your visit, We would also like to invite you in Tech At Hand

It has been about 5 days since I have not updated my blog,, well the main reason is I am very busy doing some work at the office. And my Office network went wrong.

Well what is new in the Philippine Government nowadays specially on our Elected officials.?

Senate Minority Leader Aquilino “Nene” Pimentel Jr. on Monday filled a bill that would establish reforms in the process of inter-agency adoption of Filipino children.

Senate Bill 112 seeks to amend Republic Act 8043 or “ An act establishing the rules to govern inter-country adoption of Filipino children.” The law was enacted on June 7, 1995 by President Fidel Ramos

“Each Filipino child deserves a family that will protect his or her best interests. It is therefore the policy of the State to find an adoptive family for any child found legally free for adoption and to establish an efficient system for the implementation of this policy,” the bill states.

Pimentel said the bill supports the government’s policy to provide neglected and abandoned children with opportunities for growth and development.

“However, recognizing that inter-country adoption offers the advantage of a permanent family to a child for whom a suitable family cannot be found in the Philippines, the State shall take measures to ensure that inter-country adoptions are allowed when the same shall prove beneficial to the child’s best interest and shall serve and protect his/her fundamental rights,” the bill added.

I do hope that on the next few days we can hear on some accomplishments of our duly elected Senators.
