Star Cinema offered Brillante Mendoza a film project
Brillante Mendoza, an award winning director who won in the 2009 Cannes best director, was offered a project by Star Cinema under ABS-CBN. Mendoza clarified that he has not accepted the project yet.
“Hindi pa ako pumipirma ng kontrata. Yes, may offer pero wala pang kumpirmasyon na tinanggap ko na,” he told abs-cbnNEWS.com
“Matagal na akong kinukuha ng Star Cinema. May mga negotiations na pero hanggang ngayon, hindi pa natutuloy,” he qualified.
“If ever I would join them, it would be on my terms. Kung hindi lang naman masusunod ang mga terms and conditions ko, hindi na lang muna,” he exclaimed quite humbly.
The movie is about the life of a battered wife to be played by Ai Ai de las Alas as the lead role. Mendoza said that he worked with Robbie Tan of Seiko Films.
