Manny Villar is now the newly elected Senate President supported by Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago, Richard Gordon, Pia Cayetano, Allan Peter Cayetano, Lito Lapid, Bong Revilla, Joker Arroyo, Edgardo Angara, Juan Ponce Enrile at Juan Miguel Zubiri,  Francis Pangilinan at Gringo Honasan, Jinggoy Estrada, Francis Escudero and Alan Peter Cayetano.
Pimentel was defeated by Villar. I just hope that Villar will do his best for the country.

Team Unity (TU) senatorial bet Juan Miguel Zubiri led Genuine Opposition (GO) bet Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III by 476 votes in the canvass of election returns (ERs) from the 38 precincts of Pagalungan, Maguindanao, yesterday.
Zubiri ranked 8th in the top 12 senatorial candidates in Pagalungan with 1,216 votes, while Pimentel landed in the 20th spot with 740 votes.

The Commission on Elections proclaimed Wednesday night 10 winning senatorial candidates, including six from the Genuine Opposition, two from the administration’s Team Unity, and two independents.held at the Philippine International Convention Center, CCP Complex on Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.
The ten proclaimed as senators, based on ranking, are Loren Legarda (GO), Francis “Chiz” Escudero (GO), Panfilo “Ping” Lacson (GO), Manuel Villar Jr (GO), Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan (ind.), Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino (GO), Edgardo Angara (TU), Alan Cayetano (GO), Joker Arroyo (TU), and Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan (ind.).

As what I have blogged the other day , The 10 Senators can already be proclaimed as winner. And here they are now . The Proclamation is set on Wednesday

Our voters in Samar had spoken thru their votes. They had gave a 6 GO, 4 TU, 2 independent for senators as reported in Samar News .
The Samar COMELEC Tally as follows :

Loren Legarda – 126,103 votes
Chiz Escudero – 118,901 votes
Ping Lacson - 103,135 votes.
Cesar Montano – 92,300 votes
Ed Angara with  – 89,272 votes.
Gringgo Honasan -  89,193 votes.
Prospero Pichay -  88,053 votes
Ralph Recto -  84,774 votes.
