Overprints of the 12 million banknotes will be issued starting Thursday for the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas or BSP. Overprints include all the six circulation notes.
The 20-piso note has the portrait of Manuel L. Quezon, first President, and the scrolls with the “Wikang Pambansa” and “Saligang  Batas” inscriptions. The reverse Malacanan Palace where Quezon was the first president to ever stayed there.

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s State of the Nation Address (SONA) will be held on July 27.  At least 7000 police is expected to be deployed by the National Capital Region Police Office. According to NCRPO Director Roberto Rosales their policemen will be deployed in areas such as airport, transport terminals and other places with a large crowd.
They call their security measures as “Oplan Manila Shield” to prevent the criminal groups and terrorists groups to take advantage of the sona.

It has been reported that a group of demonstrators in Thailand caused the  leaders of the same country to postpone the ASEAN ( Association of South East Asian Nations) summit. The protestors are believed to be the loyals of their former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra who was ousted in 2006 coup. He was facing corruption charges when he fled to Hongkong last year.

During the last hearing of the Blue Ribbon Committee on Monday regarding the Fertilizer Scam, Sen. Richard Gordon showed a photograph of alleged Malacañang liaison Jaime Paule, his wife and daughter, Marilyn Araos and Feshan Philippines officials Julie Gregorio and Redentor Antolin. The photo was taken during the 50th birthday part of Leonicia Llarena in 2004.

Another impeachment complaint has been officially filed in the house @ about 7:40 AM.
Deputy secretary general Ricardo Roque received the impeachment complaint, even as some of the complainants could not make it to the filing.
The following persons where present during filing : Militant party list Representatives Satur Ocampo, Teodoro Casiño and Liza Maza.
And One of the complainants, Edita Burgos, was not at the filing, the report said.
The justice committee will have 60 days to decide if the complaint is sufficient in form and substance.

Arroyo has been tag with Migrante as having ‘delusions’ about OFWs when the President suggested that overseas Filipino workers (OFW) could now be called expatriates.
Well for me I better be called expatriates, since this is the terminology we use to call Americans, Japanese, British.. etc.. working in our company, I can say that it is more formal to be called as Expats.
Well it is just my opinion we might have different thinking with regards to this matter.
