Big Changes in Saudi Government

Saudi Arabia which was known to have a strict implementation of their laws but with lots of OFW is now making a big changes in their Government.
The changes:
• Norah al-Faiz is appointed as a Deputy Minister for Girls’ Education, a new position, and the first senior female government official;
• Saleh bin Humaid, head of the Shoura Council, replaces Sheikh Salah al-Luhaidan, as Chief Justice of the Supreme Judicial Council;
• Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Humain replaces Sheikh Ibrahim al-Ghaith as head of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention …

Leaders of the recruitment sector are seeking “mandatory emergency repatriation and liability insurance" to protect overseas Filipino workers. it was said during the press conference on Friday, Eduardo E. Mahiya and Loreto B. Soriano, president and executive director respectively of the Federated Associations of Manpower Exporters (FAME), together with their officials said the measure is all the more necessary in the face of a US financial crisis threatening the global economy.

A shocking News has bought the nation into mourning, A Domestic Filipina maid identified by Foreign Affairs Secretary Esteban Conejos as Jenifer Bidoya helper who was found guilty by the Saudi Court was beheaded yesterday in Jeddah.
The Execution was done due to the reason that the family of the slain Arab national did not agree for any clemency, and the beheading was executed because the family of the Saudi National insists on their right of quisas as per sharia law.

Noynoy Aquino had released his press statement regarding pardon of Claudio Teehankee Jr.
"The terms and conditions in granting executive clemency as stated in our Constitution cannot be disputed. However, given the way this power of granting executive clemency seems to have been abused, it may be high time for us to revisit its parameters to ensure that the purpose for which this Presidential prerogative is intended is achieved."

Arroyo has been tag with Migrante as having ‘delusions’ about OFWs when the President suggested that overseas Filipino workers (OFW) could now be called expatriates.
Well for me I better be called expatriates, since this is the terminology we use to call Americans, Japanese, British.. etc.. working in our company, I can say that it is more formal to be called as Expats.
Well it is just my opinion we might have different thinking with regards to this matter.

One of the best news I read today is knowing that the Government has signed a Memorandum of Agreement for OFW to work in Canada.

There is a signature campaign that is being forwarded to almost all OFW in the World. The signature campaign aims to remove charges/fees for OFW remittances as I blog before.
But I just wonder with all this Data who will authenticate this information, will this be heard by the proper authorities. It would be great if there is somebody that can give an answer for such queries.
BTW I also oppose that additional fees for the remittance and I am willing to help in order to propagate issues like this but this …
