The National Movement for Free Elections (Namfrel) is set to down its operations at the La Salle Greenhills in San Juan on midnight Saturday after surpassing its commitment to tabulate 85 percent of the total number of precincts.
As of 6:38 p.m., Namfrel counted 193,057 of the 224,748 total precincts or 85.90 percent.
“We will pull the plug this midnight. Tomorrow (Sunday) we will pack our things and transfer to a smaller, private office,” said Eric Alvia, Namfrel’s secretary general.
