The apartment group won the Facebook-o contest so they have the privilege to choose who among the villa group members will go out of the house. The apartment team “ransacked” their own house and told Big Brother that the villa team will be asked to clean up the mess while they are watching in the confession room. Congratulations to new Professional Electronics Engineers and Electronics Engineers

The PRC (Professional Regulation Commission) released the result of the Professional Electronics Engineer and Electonics Engineer Licensure Examination on thursday. Twenty passed the Professional Electronics Engineer and 632 out of 2,340 passed the Electronics Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Electronics Engineering in the cities of Manila, Baguio and Cebu this April 2010.
Board passers are should personally register for the issuance of the Professional Identification Card and Certificate of registration starting April 21 up to April 30, 2010.

A Malaysian national identified as Lim Tim Chong was arrested for smuggling Php 84 million worth ofhigh grade shabu. Chong arrived Wednesday at the NAIA terminal 1. The Malaysian came from Kuala Lumpur onboard Malaysian Airlines flight MH 704.
According to Customs Collector Tess Roque, they coordinated with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the office of Airport General Manager Atty. Melvin Matibag regarding the arrival of the suspect.

According to Roque, the suspect’s baggage contained shabu worth Php 6 million per kilo.

An 8.8 magnitude Chile had hit Chile which one of the most populated city in the world. This is an excerpt from Inquirer.net
A huge 8.8-magnitude earthquake rocked Chile early Saturday killing at least 78 people, toppling buildings and triggering a tsunami threatening the Pacific rim of fire, officials said.

Liberty Telecom Holding Inc. is set to launch its WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability  for Microwave Access) in the Philippines after 2 month free trial in the Philippines.
Liberty is expecting its WiMAX and Internet broadband services to bring the company back to profitability, as these are seen to account for more than 90% of its sales and subscriber base.

WiMAX can provide 33% faster speed which is up to 1Mbps compared to other commercially available WiFi Services. It is a cost-efficient alternative to cable and digital subscribe line or DSL .

Charice and the Chipmunks

Philippines’ Pride Charice Pempengco played a small role in the Hollywood film “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel”. Charice played as the biggest rival of the chipmunks in a singing competition. Charice Pempengco sang “No One” by Alicia Keys.
“Very happy po ako na some people are tweeting me na nakita po nila ako sa movie,” the singer told abs-cbnNEWS.com.
