Social Security Warns Seniors to Beware of Scam Phone Calls and E-Mails
During this holiday season, seniors need to be especially cautious about giving out information over the telephone and through e-mail. “Along with delivering good cheer and best wishes, scam artists may try to prey on trusting seniors to get personal and financial information,” said Social Security Regional Communications Director Leslie Walker.

A sister of missing activist Jonas Burgos yesterday appealed to the 150 delegates to the World Forum for Democratization in Asia (WFDA) to remember the mysterious disappearance of her brother and all other victims of abductions and summary executions since January 2001, when the Arroyo government took power.
