Incumbent Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim was proclaimed winner in the mayoralty race over another Atienza.
Lim, a former senator and former two-term mayor, was proclaimed after the local election office found that it "highly improbable" for his rivals to catch up with him.

Lim got a 369,445 while Atienza who was once his vice mayor has 165,892 votes. Isko Moreno was proclaimed vice mayor enjoying a 300,000 lead over Maria Lourdes Isip-Garcia.

Michael Fariñas won as Mayor of Laoag after the canvassing early Tuesday morning and was officially proclaimed because Fariñas ran unopposed. For the Vice Mayor, the officials proclaimed Eddie Domingo.
Joseph Estrada and Jejomar Binay are both leading the position of president and vice president respectively in Laog City.
Imee Marcos who is running for governor against her cousin and Ferdinand Marcos Jr. running for Senator leads in Ilocos Norte.

Former President Joseph Estrada is about to return to Malacañang after almost nine years that he has been ousted. Erap, as what Estrada is popularly known has been invited by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to attend the meeting of the full National Security Council (NSC) on Tuesday. As expected by many people, Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III tops the Social Weather Stations survey. This was done between September 5-6 which was commissioned by a number of private individuals that include the business community.
The survey covers only Metro Manila, Pangasinan, Region 3 and Region 4A.
10 percent of the respondents belonged to the A, B and C classes, or the wealthy and middle class, while 90 percent belong to the D and E classes, or the poor.

Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III already announced that he has decided to run for presidency in the 2010 elections. He is supported by his family and friends including his girlfriend Councilor Soledad. He also announced his offer with Senator Mar Roxas to be his running mate as a vice president but Roxas did not confirm yet if he will accept the offer.

Inspite of the call for the sacrifice in favor of Senator Benigno “Noynoy Aquino” Aquino in running for the presidency, Senator Loren Legarda said she won’t give way to Noynoy.
Their party the NPC, Nationalist People’s Coalition, will be choosing soon between Loren Legarda and Chiz Escudero to run for president in the 2010 elections. Chiz also said recently that he will not sacrifice for Noynoy.

Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero will be standing firm on his decision if he is going to continue to run for presidency on 2010 elections or not. He will be announcing it on the day of his birthday when he turns 40 on October 10.
