Manny Pacquaio is currently leading in Sarangani for the congressional race over Roy Chiongbian.
Pacquiao’s monitoring team said the "Pambansang Kamao" won by landslide over Chiongbian, a descendant of the political clan that established the province. The official results, however, will not be available until Tuesday when the Sarangani Provincial Canvassing Board resumes its tally.

Pacquiao arrived 7:45 am to vote in his precinct.

A fight between Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito is being negotiated.
“I think the chances are very, very good, very, very good,” said Arum during a recent press conference in Los Angeles, announcing Margarito’s May 8 bout with WBC light-middleweight champ Roberto Garcia.

The fight with Pacquiao will depend Margarito’s fight with Garcia. Pacquiao and Margarito fight might happen sometime in September to November.

Kobe Bryant, LA Laker’s  star player has not played their basketball games since February 15 because of his sprained left ankle. Inspite of his absence in the game, their team still won all three games.
The decision of coming back to the game is still up to Bryant. This is according to their coach Phil Jackson.

Roger Federer, the world’s top-ranked tennis player, will take part in an exhibition event in Australia on Sunday together with the other top stars like Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal, Andy Roddick, Kim Clijsters and Samantha Stosur. They venue will be at Melbourne Park in the state of Victoria’s capital city.
Federer organized this charity event to raise funds for the Haiti earthquake victims.

Manny Pacquiao’s trainor Freddie Roach said that the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Ghanaian Joshua Clottey on March 13 will not have a catchweight.
“It will be at 147.  There’s no catchweight,” Roach told FightHype.com. A catchweight describes a weight limit for a fight that does not fall in traditional limits for weight divisions.

“He’ll come into this fight like 144-145 and he’ll go into the ring at 148 or 149 at most and that’s his best fighting weight,” Roach said.

Pacquiao vs. Mayweather might not push thru for the meantime because Manny’s camp refused the request of Mayweather regarding dope testing . Instead Manny Pacman will fight with Joshua Clottey in March.
Clottey was able to beat Zab Judah of the United States for the IBF Welterweight title in August 2008 and lost last Jube to Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico.

Congratulations to the FEU Cheering Squad for winning in the 2009-UAAO Cheerdance Competition on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum. Their prizes include a trophy and P225,000.
First runner-up is the Ateneo Blue Babble Batallion. Their prize include a trophy and 140,000. Second runner-up is the UP Pep Squad with a prize of P90,000.
Sari Campos of Ateneo was given the "Samsung Stunner" award for being the face of the cheerleading competition.

WBO junior flyweight champion Ivan “Iron Boy” Calderon won over Rodel “Batang Manaue” Mayol in their rematch on Saturday (Sunday in Manila). It was a close fight.
The Mayol-Calderon clash, which was held at the Coliseo Jose Miguel Agrelot, was stopped after the seventh round as “once again a clash of heads prematurely ended the bout.”
