122 Grade 3 students caught fever in Bacolod City. This is the reason why suspension of classes were made. The name of the school is St. John’s Institute. According to Principal Marilou Geraldoy only Grade 3 classes will be suspended until Wednesday. The students started to get sick Friday last week and that the students were not able to attend their classes.

It has been reported by the DOH Department of Health that there are new 54 confirmed H1N1 positive. But they have told that the mortality rate of H1N1 is 0.05% only which is very low compared to other sickness like SARS, Fever and other deadly sickness. So the people should be educated about the information of this new sickness.

The swine flu cases in Philippines now went up to 193 health officials say. 46 new cases have mild flu, this was according to Health Secretary Duque III. 71 people who had this swine flu are now fully recovered.
The new 8 cases of swine flu were found in a village in Nueva Ecija while the other eight in an elementary school in Bulacan.

Some of the schools in Manila are opening their classes today inspite of the Philippines’ 147 confirmed cases of swine flu as of today, June 14.
According to the Marketing and Communications executive director of DLSU Manila, Mr. Jose Mari Magpayo, their school is conducting a “Be Flu-less, Not Clueless” information drive about swine flu or A(H1N1) influenza virus. Complete sanitation has been conducted to prevent the further spread of swine flu.
