Darren Rowse of Problogger.net is running a group writing contest named Top 5 – Group Writing Project where in you have to write about any top 5 of your desired subject. For me since this is an election blog I would have it as Top 5 qualification of a senator should have in my opinion.

1. The candidate should have not been engage in any anomalies on his past government service with any government position that he have handled in the past. He should have not engage in any kick back for any project that he have made or authored. 
2. The candidate should have a good educational background where in he is capable of representing the Philippines if the need arise that we have to send somebody as a representative of our government outside the country. I don’t wanna be represented by somebody who cannot even speak in English.
3. The candidate should be a champion of the poor in which most of his platform is dedicated to the poor.
4. The candidate should be thinking as an economist, since the country is now having a big debt in the International Bank, any law that could be passed to decrease the debt will be an advantage for the country.
5. The candidates who spend the biggest amount during the election should not be elected.. Why? because the larger is the expenditure the larger is the possibility of getting back his return of investment (ROI). Just imagine if a candidate spend about 150 Million pesos how he could get it back if the salary of a Senator does not even reach to 50,000 pesos a month. Of course it will be from the sources which is not legal.

To the senators, No hard feeling this is just my opinion. and for my readers you have your own choice on whom to vote. But if you would consider my proposal I would be great about it. What about you do you have your top 5 qualification for your government official.?
