Who would imagine that a hailstorm would hit the Philippines. Even the residents there could not believe what they saw. It was in Batangas province where Tropical storm Feria or Nangka as its international code name, that a hailstorm was seen and felt by the residents Tuesday afternoon.

Areas in the towns of San Pascual, Bauan and Batangas City said ice cube-like objects fell in the middle of a heavy downpour and strong winds

At that time there was no storm warning when that happened. The trees were uprooted and their rooftops showed that a storm just passed. A boy was even hit by a falling tree.  According to the residents in Bauan, this was the first time this thing happened wherein there was almost zero visibility in the area. They believe that it was a real Tornado.

Some barangay experienced knee to waist deep floods because of overflowing creeks.Traffic became heavy and a child has been injured in Barangay San Antonio.

Residents in Barangay San Antonio said they never experienced this situation even during typhoons. A child was reported to have been injured in the barangay. Some areas still have no electricity.
