Detained opposition bet Antonio Trillanes IV may soon be proclaimed by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) as the 11th winning senatorial candidate in the May 14 midterm polls, James Jimenez, the poll body’s spokesman told GMANews.TV Monday.

Jimenez said Trillanes can be proclaimed within the week after the Comelec completes the counting of votes enough to declare the victory of the former military who is detained at Fort Bonifacio in Taguig City. “Earliest will be tomorrow (Tuesday) and latest is by the end of the week,” he said in Filipino.

Trillanes is on the 11th spot with 11,093,463 votes in the Comelec’s partial, official tally as of 1 p.m., Monday.

Jimenez said the Comelec still has to tally votes from the provinces of Basilan, Maguindanao, and . - GMANews.TV

But the question now is , How will serve the country behind bars.? I do hope they can do something so that Triallanes can perform the mandates the Filipinos gave Him.
